Bob Panzino Memorial Golf Outing 2019

20th Annual Bob Panzino Memorial

Friday, June 14, 2019

On June 14th, 2019, The Panzino Family and Friends will be holding our 20th annual Bob Panzino Memorial Golf Outing. This non-for-profit event was started in May of 2000 after our father lost his courageous battle with brain cancer. It is something that our family and more than 300 friends have taken great pride in each year.  Our objective was to honor our father and friend with an event that represented who he was and what was important to him.

The day is filled with good golf, good friends and good times all in the name of charity. The golf tournament at The Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates, IL, is a fun and competitive four-person scramble resulting in an amazing four hole-in-ones over the last 15 years.  A day on the links is followed by dinner and dancing, a silent auction, an award ceremony and most importantly, a speech from a Bear Necessities Bear Hug recipient.

For the last several years we have had the privilege of partnering with Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation which helps children battling cancer.  Bear Necessities receives all of the net proceeds raised from this outing, over $200,000

Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Inc. (BNPCFI) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in late 1992 by Kathleen A. Casey, President. The foundation is named in memory of her eight year old son, Barrett "Bear" Krupa, who died after a courageous five and a half year battle with Wilms Tumor, a pediatric cancer. Their objective is to give children who suffer from pediatric cancer a moment during their courageous battle when they can forget their illness and simply enjoy just being a child.
